Barcelona Style Lounge Chair Mid 20th Century

This is an authentic circa 1980s production Knoll Barcelona chair, originally designed by Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich in 1929. The design features a graceful polished stainless steel frame (notably more hand crafted than the current chromed examples) and black leather upholstery. This piece was made completely by hand, upholstered with panels of leather that were produced from a single cowhide. The chair was produced by Knoll, the only authorized manufacturer of van der Rohe’s designs since 1953.
